Based out of University College Dublin, the UCD UAV Team is pushing the boundaries of autonomous aircraft systems with a mission that extends beyond innovation— it's about making a difference. 

This year, with a focus on forest fire prevention, our team is designing testing and building a cost effective, lightweight UAV, engineered to deliver a water payload where it's needed most. 

Our current goal? The IMechE UAS Challenge 2027, where we plan to come back stronger than ever. With two years of competition experience, placing 3rd globally in 2026, we are more confident than ever in the UCD UAVs abilities going forward.
